Deleting your Kumo Music data
Kumo Music ("Kumo") is published by Benri Tech. Kumo does not operate a server and does not store your data off your device.
When you use Kumo, your data lives in two places:
On your device
Cached audio files, folder selections, liked songs, playlists, theme preferences, and your Google display name (used only to greet you in the app).
In your Own Google Drive
The music files you already own. Kumo never copies, modifies, or relocates these files.
To remove Kumo and all its data
Open Kumo Music
Tap the sign-out icon in the top right. This clears your cached display name and ends Kumo's in-app session.
Uninstall Kumo Music
Remove the app from your phone. This deletes every local cache, preference, playlist, like, and downloaded audio file.
Revoke Permissions (Recommended)
Revoke Kumo's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions . Find "Kumo Music" and choose Remove access to invalidate the OAuth grant.
Because Kumo has no backend, no data is retained after these steps.
Deleting part of your data
Users can easily delete specific data subsets from the phone by performing the following:
Sign Out (in-app Settings) — removes auth token and cached identity, keeps local library data.
Android Settings → Apps → Kumo → Clear Storage — wipes the local SQLite database, app cache, and all preferences.
Android Settings → Apps → Kumo → Clear Cache — wipes all downloaded audio files while preserving your preferences and playlists.
